Description:
This roll celebrates the selfless work of military medics who provide qualified and specialized medical care to both military personnel and civilians in the combat zone.
Today, the Medical Branch of Ukraine’s Armed Forces is a powerful structure that includes military hospitals and sanatoriums. The branch introduces the latest methods of treatment and diagnosis, working together with the world’s best medical centers, and conducting medical and psychological rehabilitation of military personnel.
Each roll is packaged in souvenir paper featuring the legends БАНКНОТНО-МОНЕТНИЙ ДВІР НБУ, ОБІГОВА ПАМ’ЯТНА МОНЕТА, МЕДИЧНІ СИЛИ ЗСУ, 25 ШТУК (the NBU’s Banknote Printing and Minting Works, circulation commemorative coin, the Medical Branch of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, and 25 units), the face value of the roll – 250 and the graphic symbol of the hryvnia, the mint mark of the NBU’s Banknote Printing and Minting Works, an image of the emblem of the Medical Branch Command of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, and pixel camouflage elements.
Obverse: above is Ukraine’s small coat of arms; in the center, surrounded by an old Rus ornament is the following semicircular legend: УКРАЇНА / 10 / ГРИВЕНЬ (Ukraine/10/hryvnias); against the backdrop of the ornament are the coins’ issue year – 2024 (beneath) and the mint mark of the NBU’s Banknote Printing and Minting Works (to the right).
Reverse: there is the following circular legend: ПРОФЕСІОНАЛІЗМ ТА МИЛОСЕРДЯ і МЕДИЧНІ СИЛИ ЗБРОЙНИХ СИЛ УКРАЇНИ (Professionalism and mercy and the Medical Branch of Ukraine’s Armed Forces). In the center of the composition, the emblem of the Medical Branch Command, which was created on the basis on a British heraldic shield, is depicted in relief. The centerpiece of the shield is a cross with a stylized snake wrapped around a pernach (a type of flanged mace). The cross symbolizes the sign of comprehensive help and protection, which is recognized in Europe and globally, and a snake wrapping around a pernach is a symbol of the Medical Branch. Camouflage pixels are schematically depicted in the background.
